Cheese Production Assistant - Join one of the UK's most respected artisan cheesemakers

King Stone Dairy is looking for a Cheese Production Assistant to join our growing team in Gloucestershire.
We make internationally recognised artisan cheeses using milk from the cows grazing the pastures surrounding our dairy. Every cheese we make reflects the landscape, the seasons and the skill of the people who make it.
This role would suit someone already working in the cheese, food or hospitality industries who is looking to deepen their understanding of artisan food production. Whether you're a cheesemonger, chef, cheesemaker, dairy worker or simply passionate about exceptional food, this is an opportunity to learn from one of Britain's leading cheese producers.
The Role
No two days are quite the same. Depending on the season and production schedule, you may be:
Assisting with cheesemaking and dairy production
Turning, brushing and caring for maturing cheeses
Packing and preparing orders
Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety
Supporting stock management and quality control
Working alongside experienced cheesemakers and affineurs
What We're Looking For
An interest in artisan food, cheese or dairy production
A practical, hands-on attitude
Good attention to detail
Ability to work as part of a small team
Willingness to learn and develop new skills
Reliability and a strong work ethic
Previous dairy or food production experience is beneficial but not essential.

This is a physically demanding role. It involves lifting, standing for extended periods and working in a busy production environment.
Some weekend working will be required on a rota basis.
